Kuta Beach

It was Kuta beach and its surf break that started the Bali craze, and today it is the most developed and tourist orientated part of the island. A sprawl of resorts, shops, restaurants, nightclubs and sunburnt tourists, Kuta is not for the meek. But the beach is still white sand and blue water, and Kuta has a good, if over popular, surf break. For those who want the easy holiday everything is available in Kuta. Favoured by the younger set for it's infamous nightlife and shopping, enjoyed by the older lot for luxury hotels, Kuta is soaked with that infectious beach summer holiday vibe. Even if you don't stay there it is really worth a visit.
